Pretty much anything involving an iPad has been new to me. I have never owned a single Apple product in my life and I kind of like it that way. I will grant that there are some useful applications on iPads I can’t really see myself using those very much. I feel like there are plenty of other alternatives that can be accessed on computers that will give you the same if not a better learning experience. I would much rather do projects on my computer or send/receive emails from my phone over an iPad. In a sense, I just see iPad’s being just another thing that students can play on during class for non-educational reasons.
